LEVEL UP CIVICS EXPO
Flourishing communities start with strong civics. And strong civics start in our families. That’s why we’re empowering parents across the nation to level up their communities through better civics education.
American families want fun, engaging and inspiring civics education for our children. But what do great civics resources actually look like? And what are easiest and most effective ways to use them – inside and outside the classroom?
That’s why we created the Level Up Civics Expo.
Parents, teachers, families and concerned citizens will explore the best civics resources in the nation from 15 leading civic education organizations.
The Level Up Civics Expo will introduce you to easy-to-access materials about America’s history, as well as tools for dinnertime discussions, games, and engaging readings.
• Parents, grandparents and their K-12 school-aged children attending public, charter, and private and home schools
• Teachers and parents seeking to supplement civics education with our content and community.
WHAT TO EXPECT
•Leading civic education providers from around the country will present “Shark Tank” style pitches for their civics resources. A review panel including a scholar, parent, college student, high school principal and teacher will give live feedback on each resource.
• The live audience will vote on the most engaging civics content that promotes a positive approach, civil discourse and has roots in America’s founding principles.
• Winners from the May Expo will be announced on Constitution Day, Saturday, September 17, 2022 and winners from the October Expo will be announced Bill of Rights Day, December 15, 2022
