Little Rock, AR
William Clinton, U.S. president from 1993-2001, pursued a moderate, progressive domestic agenda and launched international peace and humanitarian efforts. During his tenure, the welfare system was reformed, and a federal budget deficit was turned into a surplus thanks in part to stronger economic growth. Over two million digital documents, plus videos, audio recordings and photographs represent the daily duties of the president. The Presidential Daily Diary and Presidential Schedules record 2,420 meetings and telephone calls between President Clinton and foreign leaders. Other digital exhibits highlight Clinton’s education reform efforts and his global diplomacy.
